Issue: DVD skips or doesn't load.
Possible Solution: Clean the disk. Using a soft cloth, wipe the DVD from the center to the edge, working all the way around the disk. If there is a film, a mild window cleaner will help. The surface of the disk should be shiny without and smudges, marks or scratches.
Possible Solution: Computer has a software player that is not working properly, or is incompatible with the DVD being used. Download a free trial of Power DVD.
Possible Solution: The DVD player was manufactured before 2002. Older DVD players and drives have difficulty reading a DVD-R due to the color of the media. This problem has been overcome with the newer players and drives. Simply try using another DVD player.
